Making Paper

Materials:

blender
old paper with little or no ink on it
kitty litter box
towels and sponges
mold and deckle
butter knife
How to make mold and deckle:

To make the mold take a picture frame and securely staple a fiberglass screen (available at a hardware store) onto it. The deckle is another picture frame the same size.

Making the paper

Fill kitty litter box half way with water. Fill blender 3/4 full with water. Tear paper into roughly 1 x 1 inch squares and put two handfuls in blender. Blend on high for 1 min. Make sure its chopped up good but also be sure there are still fiber strains in there. Dump blender stuff into kitty litter box. It will be to thin so add 1 or 2 more blender fulls in the box. Fold a bunch of towels lenghwise on top of each other and put on floor. Hold the mold staple side up with the deckle on top and make sure the edges meet. Stir contents in kitty litter box evenly. Now take the mold and deckle and dip horizontally in the kitty litter box till it touches the bottom then lift up and let water drain. Put mold and deckle on the towels after the water pours out. After a few minutes when the paper looks somewhat solid remove deckle. Remove the paper from mold with a butter knife and put paper on clothesline to dry. Don't dump the left over blender crap down the drain.
